Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet
goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run
and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends
are warm and comfortable. All the animals that had been ill or old are restored to health and vigor;
those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we
remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and
content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to
them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one of the pets
suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the
eager body quivers. Suddenly, he/she begins to run from the group, flying over
the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you
cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses
rain upon your face; your hands caress the beloved head, and you look once more
into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life, but never
absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...
He had a wonderful sense of humor, as he would "hide” in front of our piano bench (thinking that we couldn't see him), and jump into the air and WOOF at our daughter, then run to her and give her a big lick, and run back to his bed with a huge smile on his face as if he had succeeded in scaring a poor 3 year old. He would do this several times each day with the same results. All the while, he was very impressed with himself. We took him on several walks each day, and he could stalk a bunny without jingling his tags. His ears would be perched out to the side and his tail straight back. His legs would be as light as a feather and he would get so close, only to have the bunny run. It was quite a sight to behold!
In March of 2007, we started to see a change in Goose - he was becoming grumpier and didn't care about stalking the bunnies (or our daughter) any longer. He didn't seem to be as excited about going for walks or running like the wind at the dog park. He seemed content to lay in front of the sink on the rug and getting his ears rubbed, though. We noticed in May that he didn't want to eat and didn't want much attention. We took him to the vet and he was put on medication, and I made him ground beef and rice for his meals. He seemed to be getting better right after he finished his meds; then he lapsed again. Our vet put him back on meds and he seemed to rebound again. About 10 days into his meds, I really felt like he was going to be leaving us too soon, and he did. We took him to the vet on Tuesday the 31st of July and the vet took x-rays...our Goosey had a tumor the size of a volleyball on his spleen, liver and kidneys. Due to the size of the tumor, his bowel had been displaced. I knew that my Goosey had suffered long enough! We elected to have him humanely euthanized. He came into the room and greeted everyone with a kiss and a nuzzle, we said "goodbye" and told him to run like the wind over Rainbow Bridge! We miss you and love you Goosey Berry, you’ll forever be in our hearts!!

GOOSE MILLSAP
Goosey came into our home in January of 2005 and left too quickly on July 31, 2007. His name was Dixon and we renamed him Goose after one of my husband’s best friends from college. On the ride home from Hutchinson, KS he slept with his head and front legs stretched out on our 3 year-old-daughter’s lap. It wasn't long into our trip that we knew he truly was a special and unique greyhound. He had been at the vet with several other greys to be euthanized, because he was too slow for the track. TLC took him in and he made it right into our hearts.
Love - Tyler, Michelle, Creighton, Kinley and your 4 legged greyt siblings.

MARYANN LIERMAN
May 1995 ~ December 2005
We celebrate the life of MaryAnn today and every day. She came into our hearts in 2003. Although we spent only
two short years together, those two years were wonderful. MaryAnn made us smile and laugh; she was
full of life and spirit. She was so brave and caring. She reminded us to live life to the fullest EVERY DAY! She
was the best companion to us here on Earth and I know she’s a perfect companion to her grey friends over the
Bridge. We miss you more than words can express, little “MiMi.” Love you forever.
Until we meet again, Sarah, Matt and Jackie Boy

June 16, 1993 ~ August 10, 2005
Sweet Okie was a true couch potato - she loved to sleep on the bed, with her head on the pillows. She was adopted by the Clawson
family the day after Christmas 1998. "What a wonderful present she was! Okie is terribly missed..."
